The Life Tel 4 L EX2 is not only an extremely rugged but also a certified explosion-proof industrial smartphone for worldwide protection of your employees in Ex-protected zones (Android operating system). It was specially developed to secure lone work in Ex-protected areas.

Acceleration and position sensors trigger a dead man alarm on this ATEX smartphone depending on the preconfigured settings. The wearer of the Life Tel 4 L EX2 then has the option to acknowledge the alarm. Using the built-in sensors, the specially designed emergency app detects the movement profile of the lone worker, so that in the event of an accident or a deliberate distress call from the wearer, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 automatically sends an emergency signal to the connected control center. A hands-free connection can also be established to communicate with the injured person. The integrated GPS tracking module transmits the location directly if needed. This immediately activates the rescue chain, so the injured person can be found right away with all the information transmitted by the Life Tel 4 L EX2 when every second counts.

Conscious Alarm

SOS Emergency Button / Panic Button

The red SOS button on the Life Tel 4 L EX2 is used for immediate alarm activation by the user. After a simple press, the Life Tel immediately sends alarms to three preprogrammed numbers. The alarms are sent as SMS and/or calls.

Unconscious Alarm 

Inactivity Alarm / Dead Man Switch

In the inactivity alarm, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 monitors whether the user is moving. If it detects no movement after a user-defined period because the person is incapacitated, the device triggers a pre-alarm. This is indicated visually and acoustically. If the person does not move again within the pre-alarm duration, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and/or call.

Position alarm

The Life Tel 4 L EX2 monitors the device’s position using a position sensor. If the wearer deviates from the preset position by more than 45 degrees for a defined period, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 triggers a pre-alarm. If the person does not return to the set angle range within the pre-alarm duration (e.g., due to unconsciousness), the Life Tel 5 L EX triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and/or call.

Time alarm

With the time alarm, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 signals at defined times or intervals by blinking the large buttons and an acoustic signal. By pressing any button, the user confirms that everything is okay. If no confirmation is received, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and/or call.

Escape alarm

With this alarm, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 reacts to frantic movements, such as those occurring during an escape. After the pre-alarm, the Life Tel 4 L EX2 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and/or call.

Fall alarm

Alternative to escape alarm – if an escape alarm is not expected at work but the risk of falls is significantly high, the alarm in case of a fall serves as an alternative.
