SAFETY FOR YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYEES
The personal emergency call system Life Tel 2 LTE is used to ensure the safety of lone workers in accordance with the guidelines of the professional association BGR 139 / DGUV 112-139. With the help of the built-in sensors, the Life Tel detects the movement profile of the injured person, so that in the event of an emergency, an emergency call is automatically triggered to a connected control center.
THE PERSONAL EMERGENCY SIGNAL DEVICE LIFE TEL 2 LTE
The mobile personal emergency signal device Life-Tel 2 LTE is specifically designed for the protection of lone workers who work in isolated workplaces, on extensive outdoor facilities, and in hazardous areas.
COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE TRADE ASSOCIATION
The Life-Tel 2 LTE offers extensive alarm functions that can be combined as desired. In its factory state, the device meets all requirements of the German statutory accident insurance, known as DGUV 112-139 (formerly BGR 139). According to the regulations of the professional association, employers are required to secure lone workers with personal emergency signal devices so that assistance measures can be initiated immediately in case of an emergency.
WILLINGNESS-INDEPENDENT ALARM (DEAD MAN SWITCH)
"With the help of the built-in sensors, the Life Tel 2 LTE detects the movement profile of the injured person, so that in an emergency, an emergency signal along with a distress call is automatically triggered to the connected control center, even if the wearer is no longer conscious (dead man's switch). This immediately initiates the rescue chain, allowing the injured person to be found immediately with all transmitted information (e.g., GPS coordinates) when every second counts."
Note: If the individual workstation is affected by ambient noise, we recommend the M version, with integrated vibration motor.

LEGAL FOUNDATIONS
Working alone is unfortunately not uncommon. In the industry as well as in municipal and community services, entire night, Sunday, and holiday shifts are now operated with minimal personnel due to extensive automation. It is to be expected that the number of lone workers will continue to rise. Therefore, occupational safety must adapt to these partly entirely new conditions in order to ensure the protection level for employees working alone.
Information on the main types of alarms and their functions
Situation alarm
The Life-Tel monitors the position of the device using a position sensor. If the carrier of the Life-Tel deviates from the preset position by more than 45 degrees over a defined period, the Life-Tel triggers a pre-alarm. If the person does not return to the set angle range within the duration of the pre-alarm (e.g., due to fainting), the Life-Tel 2 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and/or call.
Silence alarm / Dead man's switch
With the inactivity alarm, the Life-Tel monitors whether the user is in motion. If it does not detect any movement after a self-defined period, because the person is incapacitated, the device triggers a pre-alarm. This is indicated visually and audibly. If the person does not move again during the duration of the pre-alarm, the Life-Tel 2 triggers the alarm and notifies the pre-set phone numbers via SMS and/or call.
Time alarm
The Life-Tel reports at defined times or time intervals visually by blinking the large buttons and through an acoustic signal. By pressing any button, the user acknowledges the message and signals that everything is fine. If no confirmation is received, the Life-Tel triggers the alarm and notifies the pre-set phone numbers via SMS and/or call.
Escape alarm
In this alarm, the Life-Tel reacts to frantic movements, such as those occurring during a flight. After the pre-alarm, the Life-Tel triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and/or call.
Thrush alarm
Alternative to the escape alarm – if an escape alarm is not expected at work, but the risk of falls is significantly high, the alarm in the event of a fall serves as an alternative.
Loss alarm
In the event of a loss or when removing the device from the arm holder, the Life-Tel also triggers an alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and/or call.
Technical alarm
"To monitor functionality and readiness for use, the Life-Tel is equipped with several technical alarm functions. This includes checking the battery capacity, GSM reception, GPS reception, and the functionality of the sensors. In the event of falling below a limit or a sensor malfunction, a technical alarm is triggered, and the Life-Tel notifies the pre-set phone numbers via SMS and/or call."
GPS location determination
The Life-Tel 2 is equipped with a GPS receiver that allows for the querying of GPS coordinates at any time. In the event of an alarm, the available GPS coordinates are generally sent along with the alarm SMS. For manual localization of individuals, enter the coordinates into one of the many online services or a suitable program. To save power, GPS query intervals can be set and changed.
GPS zone alarm
If the user should not leave a specific area, the GPS zone alarm allows for appropriate monitoring. To do this, you set up a GPS zone by entering GPS coordinates. Each time the user leaves or enters the zone, the Life-Tel 2 sends an alarm message via SMS.
24-hour service / emergency call center
"Determine who will be notified when and with what information. You can manage the emergency call yourself or take advantage of the 24-hour service of one of our certified cooperation partners."
