Compact personal emergency signal device with integrated emergency app
The Life-Tel 5 Mini is a slim and compact personal emergency signal device (PNG) with an integrated lone worker app based on a smartphone. The device was specially developed to secure lone workers and is particularly suitable for lighter tasks indoors.
You can flexibly manage the Life-Tel 5 Mini emergency call yourself – for example via:
- Gatekeeper stations
- Operational security
- Own control centers
- External 24-hour emergency call centers
The control center used must be able to receive and process phone calls as well as SMS with GPS coordinates.
More compact than the Life-Tel 4
Compared to the Life-Tel 4, the Life-Tel 5 Mini is significantly slimmer and lighter. This makes it ideal for applications where no special durability of the smartphone is required.

Mobile personal emergency signal device with GPS tracking
The Life-Tel 5 Mini uses the existing mobile network to transmit alarm messages and voice connections. A standard SIM card is used for this purpose.
Unlike stationary systems, the device can be used independently of location and over long distances. In the event of an alarm, GPS coordinates are transmitted so that emergency services can be directed precisely to the user's location.
Automatic alarm in case of immobility
The Life-Tel 5 Mini detects immobility or irregularities based on defined settings. In such cases, a pre-alarm is triggered first.
If this is not deactivated, for example because the person is unconscious, the alarm is automatically forwarded to stored phone numbers or an emergency call center.
Alarm via emergency app
The working person wears the Life-Tel 5 Mini on the upper arm or belt and can manually or automatically trigger an alarm via the emergency app.
In the event of an alarm, up to six phone numbers are contacted via:
- SMS
- Phone call
notifies.
Alarm functions of the Life-Tel 5 Mini
Voluntary alarm
SOS emergency call button / panic button
The red SOS button is used for immediate manual alarm activation. After pressing, SMS and/or calls are automatically sent to preset emergency contacts.
Involuntary alarm functions
Inactivity alarm / dead man switch
The device continuously monitors the user's movement. If no movement is detected over a defined period, a pre-alarm is first triggered. If there is no response, an alarm is automatically triggered.
Position alarm
The integrated position sensor monitors the device's position. If a defined tilt angle is exceeded and not corrected, an alarm is automatically triggered.
Time alarm
At specified times or intervals, the Life-Tel 5 Mini prompts the user to confirm their safety. If no response is received, an alarm is triggered.
Escape alarm
The device detects frantic movement patterns, as typically occur in escape situations, and automatically triggers an alarm.
Fall alarm
The fall alarm serves as an alternative to the escape alarm when there is an increased risk of falls.

Protection at isolated screen workstations
Employees with sedentary tasks, for example at isolated screen workstations, are additionally secured by the integrated position sensor. The body posture is continuously monitored.
24-hour service and emergency call center
Flexible alarm handling around the clock
Individually determine who is informed in an emergency and what information is transmitted. Optionally, a certified 24-hour emergency call center can be integrated.

Personal emergency signal systems according to the product standard VDE V 0825-1 are suitable for use during hazardous lone work according to DGUV Rule 112-139 (formerly BGR/GUV-R 139).
