The Life Tel 4 Ex is not only an absolutely robust (IP 68), but above all also a certified, explosion-proof industrial smartphone for the worldwide protection of your employees in explosion protection zones (Android operating system). It was specially developed for securing lone work in Ex-protected areas in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34 / EU.
Acceleration and position sensors trigger a dead man's alarm on this ATEX smartphone depending on the pre-configured setting. The wearer of the Life Tel 4 Ex then has the option to acknowledge the alarm. With the help of the built-in sensors, the specially designed emergency app detects the movement profile of the lone worker, so that the Life Tel 4 Ex automatically triggers an emergency signal to the connected control center in the event of an accident or a voluntary call for help from the wearer. A hands-free connection can also be established to establish voice contact with the accident victim. If necessary, the position is transmitted directly through the integrated GPS tracking module. This starts the rescue chain immediately so that the casualty can be found immediately with all the information transmitted by the Life Tel 4 Ex, when every second counts.

SOS emergency call button / panic button
The red SOS button on the Life-Tel 4 is used to trigger an alarm immediately by the user. With a simple push of a button, the Life-Tel immediately sends alarms to three preprogrammed numbers. The alarms are sent as SMS and / or phone calls.
No-movement alarm / dead man's switch
In the event of a no-movement alarm, the Life-Tel 4 monitors whether the user is moving. If it does not detect any movement after a self-defined period of time because the person is unable to act, the device triggers a pre-alarm. This is indicated optically and acoustically. If the person does not move again within the duration of the pre-alarm, the Life-Tel 4 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and / or phone call.
Position alarm
The Life-Tel 4 monitors the position of the device using a position sensor. If the person wearing the Life-Tel 4 deviates from the preset position by more than 45 degrees over a defined period of time, the Life-Tel 4 triggers a pre-alarm. If the person does not return to the set angle range within the duration of the pre-alarm (e.g. due to fainting), the Life-Tel 4 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and / or phone call.
Time alarm
In the event of a time alarm, the Life-Tel 4 reports optically at defined times or time intervals by flashing the large buttons and an acoustic signal. By pressing any button, the user acknowledges that everything is OK. If there is no confirmation, the Life-Tel 4 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers via SMS and / or phone call.
Escape alarm
With this alarm, the Life-Tel 4 reacts to hectic movements such as those occurring during an escape. After the pre-alarm, the Life-Tel 4 triggers the alarm and notifies the preset phone numbers by SMS and / or phone call.
Fall alarm
Alternative to the escape alarm - if an escape alarm is not expected at work and the risk of falling is significantly high, the alarm in the event of a fall serves as an alternative.

Personal emergency signal systems, which are built and parameterized according to the product standard VDE V 0825-1, are suitable to be used for personal emergency signaling during dangerous solo work in accordance with DGUV regulation 112-139 (ex BGR / GUV-R 139).
